Salomão Segal, MD

Salomão Segal, MDWith backgrounds in neurosurgery, neuroanatomy, neuroimaging and geriatric neuropsychiatry, Salomão Segal, MD investigates on the psychiatric applications of neurological surgery. Current work focuses on the mechanisms of action and optimization of deep brain stimulation techniques for the therapeutic modulation of neural systems implicated in psychiatric illnesses, particularly treatment resistant depression. Experimental approaches utilized in his work include translational studies in preclinical models as well as in the clinical population.
