Alexandra L. Sporn, MD

Alexandra L. Sporn received her medical degree from the Russian State Medical University. She had training in adult and child psychiatry in Russia prior to coming to the USA. Dr. Sporn graduated from the Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Residency Program.

Dr. Sporn completed research fellowship at the NIMH Child Psychiatry Branch. Her research projects included longitudinal brain imaging, genetics and pharmacotherapy of childhood schizophrenia. Dr. Sporn started working at the Division of Brain Stimulation and Therapeutic Modulation in September of 2005. Her current projects include developing TMS and other brain stimulation techniques for investigation and treatment of autism and other developmental disorders.
